Taloja Refinery Full Teardown
Maharashtra, India · 2024
Challenge
The refinery had operated continuously for over four decades, leaving extensive process piping, storage tanks, and legacy contamination that required careful hazardous materials management before any structural work could begin. Adjacent facilities remained operational throughout the project, requiring strict isolation protocols.
Solution
Our engineering team completed a full structural and hazardous materials survey, then sequenced the teardown in five phases — from process unit isolation through to final site clearance — coordinating closely with the client's operations team to avoid any disruption to the neighboring live facility.
Results
The program recovered 18,400 tons of structural steel, piping, and process equipment for resale and recycling, completed on schedule with zero lost-time safety incidents across the eight-month engagement.

Jebel Ali Vessel Recycling Program
Dubai, UAE · 2023
Challenge
The shipowner required verifiable Hong Kong Convention compliance to satisfy financing and insurance requirements, alongside a tight delivery window to clear berth space for incoming vessels.
Solution
We conducted pre-arrival hazardous materials surveys for each vessel, staged dismantling across parallel berths to compress the overall timeline, and maintained independent compliance documentation throughout the program for the shipowner's records.
Results
All six vessels were fully recycled with zero environmental incidents, recovering 22,000 tons of steel plate along with engines and fittings that were remarketed through our global asset network.

Rotterdam Coal Plant Decommissioning
Rotterdam, Netherlands · 2023
Challenge
The site's redevelopment timeline required rapid clearance of 14 major structures, including two large natural-draft cooling towers, while managing legacy contamination from decades of coal-fired operation.
Solution
We sequenced the program to run turbine hall strip-out and equipment recovery in parallel with cooling tower demolition planning, using precision controlled demolition for the towers to minimize vibration impact on nearby structures still awaiting clearance.
Results
All 14 structures were removed and the site remediated to redevelopment standard within 11 months, with material recovery saving an estimated 9,600 tonnes of CO₂-equivalent compared to landfilling the structural steel.

Singapore Shipyard Crane Removal
Singapore · 2022
Challenge
The cranes stood adjacent to an active waterway and neighboring commercial berths, requiring precise sectional cutting sequences that avoided any risk of uncontrolled collapse.
Solution
Our demolition engineers modeled each crane's structural load path individually, using high-reach excavators for lower sections and controlled sectional cutting with rigging support for upper booms and towers.
Results
All eight cranes were safely removed within three months, recovering 3,100 tons of structural steel with no disruption to adjacent waterway traffic.

Gujarat Cement Plant Strip-Out
Gujarat, India · 2022
Challenge
The cement kiln and associated silos contained significant quantities of refractory material and legacy dust that required controlled handling before structural cutting could begin.
Solution
We staged a phased strip-out beginning with refractory removal and dust abatement, followed by mechanical cutting of the kiln shell and precision demolition of four storage silos using high-reach equipment.
Results
The project recovered over 6,200 tons of structural and refractory-grade steel, with the cleared site handed back to the client ahead of the agreed schedule.

Mumbai Municipal Fleet Disposal Program
Mumbai, India · 2021
Challenge
The municipal client required a fully auditable disposal process to satisfy public procurement transparency requirements, across a mixed fleet of vehicles in widely varying condition.
Solution
We independently appraised every vehicle, routed resale-viable units through auction and private sale channels, and processed end-of-life vehicles through certified depollution and recycling — with documentation prepared for public record at every step.
Results
Over 200 vehicles were disposed of with full transparency, generating recovery proceeds returned directly to the municipal budget and a clean audit trail for public accountability.

North Sea Platform Topside Dismantling
Rotterdam, Netherlands · 2021
Challenge
The topside structure carried extensive legacy process piping and required specialist hazardous materials handling before structural steel recovery could proceed, all within a facility with limited laydown space.
Solution
We sequenced the dismantling to work through the structure section by section, running hazardous materials abatement just ahead of mechanical cutting crews to keep the limited site footprint clear and workflow continuous.
Results
The full topside was dismantled within the planned window, recovering high-grade structural steel and process equipment for resale into our European buyer network.

Hyderabad Textile Mill Decommissioning
Hyderabad, India · 2020
Challenge
The century-old facility housed a mix of vintage and modern machinery, some with genuine collector and resale value, alongside significant asbestos-containing roofing material requiring certified abatement.
Solution
Our asset recovery team catalogued and independently valued the machinery ahead of demolition, arranging private sale for higher-value units while certified abatement crews handled asbestos removal in parallel.
Results
Machinery resale offset close to a quarter of total project cost, and the site was remediated and handed back to the client ready for redevelopment into a mixed-use precinct.
