The industrial recycling business is, at its core, an environmental one: every ton of ferrous or non-ferrous metal we recover and return to a mill or smelter is a ton that doesn’t need to be freshly mined and refined from ore — a process that consumes vastly more energy and generates significantly more emissions than recycling the equivalent material. That reality shapes everything about how we operate, from the way we plan a dismantling program to the technology we invest in at our processing facilities.

We think about sustainability across four interlocking dimensions: the circular economy value we create by keeping materials in productive use, the direct carbon reduction achieved through recycled versus virgin metal production, the responsible handling of hazardous materials that protects workers and communities, and the environmental compliance discipline that keeps every site we operate accountable to regulators and the public alike.
