Plant is mobilised against the engineered sequence, never the other way round. Where the correct machine is not in our fleet, we bring in the correct machine rather than bending the method to fit the yard.

High-Reach Demolition Excavators
Ultra-long-front machines that take structures down from the top without ever putting a person under the load.
High-reach machines are the backbone of controlled structural demolition. Working from a verified standing platform outside the drop zone, they reduce a structure progressively from the crown down — which keeps the collapse mechanism predictable and keeps every operative outside the exclusion radius throughout. Our fleet access extends to 65 metres of working height with interchangeable front assemblies, so a single machine can move between shear, pulveriser and grapple work as the sequence changes.

01 / 08Heavy Crawler Cranes
Lattice-boom capacity for critical lifts where components must come out intact.
Where a component has to leave site whole — a 210-tonne distillation column, a stator, a press bed — crawler craneage is the method. We mobilise lattice-boom machines through long-standing project partners, selected against the specific radius, configuration and ground bearing the engineered lift plan demands rather than against yard availability. Every lift is executed against a drawn plan with certified, inspected gear and appointed-person supervision.

02 / 08Hydraulic Shears & Pulverisers
Cold mechanical separation that eliminates ignition risk and preserves material grade.
Mechanical attachments are our default cutting method, and the reason is as much commercial as it is safety-driven. Cold shearing produces no fume, requires no hot-work permit and generates no ignition source in hydrocarbon environments — while leaving steel clean and gradeable rather than heat-affected and contaminated. On one refinery programme, defaulting to cold cutting removed roughly seventy per cent of the hot-work permits the original method would have required.
- Shear jaw opening
- Up to 1,100 mm
- Cutting force
- Up to 1,400 t at the tip
- Rotation
- 360° hydraulic on all primary units
- Pulveriser output
- Concrete reduced with rebar liberated for recovery
- Permit impact
- No hot-work permit required

03 / 08Material Handlers
Purpose-built handlers that keep segregated streams segregated all the way to dispatch.
Recovery value survives only if separation survives. Material handlers with elevating cabs and orange-peel or sorting grabs move graded streams from the work front into segregated bays without the cross-contamination that a general-purpose excavator inevitably causes. Elevated cabs give the operator direct sight of grade separation as it happens, which is why our diversion and grade-accuracy figures hold up under audit.

- Up to 22 m
- Cab elevation
- Hydraulic riser to 5.5 m eye height
- Attachments
- Orange-peel · sorting grab · magnet · shear
- Stability
- Four-point outrigger with load-moment monitoring
- Application
- Grade-segregated loading and dispatch

04 / 08Mobile Crushing & Screening
Concrete arisings converted into certified graded aggregate without leaving the site.
Hauling demolition concrete out and importing fill back in is expensive, slow and environmentally poor. Where the redevelopment programme can accept it, we crush and screen on site to a tested, certified aggregate specification suitable for piling mats, haul roads and structural backfill. On a recent logistics clearance this retained 4,100 tonnes on site and removed around 190 haulage movements from local roads.
- Jaw crusher throughput
- Up to 350 t/h
- Output grades
- Multiple graded fractions to specification
- Rebar separation
- Overband magnet with recovery conveyor
- Dust control
- Integrated suppression at every transfer point
- Certification
- On-site testing to aggregate specification

05 / 08Cold Cutting & Diamond Wire Systems
Spark-free severance of heavy sections in live and hazardous atmospheres.
Diamond wire and cold cutting systems sever sections that mechanical shears cannot reach and thermal cutting is not permitted to touch — thick-wall vessels inside a live hydrocarbon boundary, reinforced concrete with heavy congestion, submerged or partially charged structures. The cut is clean, dimensionally controlled and completely free of ignition source, which is often the only reason a scope can proceed without an outage.
- Diamond wire capacity
- Sections beyond 3 m diameter
- Ignition risk
- None — no hot-work permit required
- Cut quality
- Dimensionally controlled, reusable faces
- Deployment
- Remote operation from outside the cut zone
- Environments
- Live plant · ATEX zones · submerged

06 / 08Atomised Dust Suppression
Fine-mist cannons that capture airborne particulate before it reaches a boundary.
Atomised suppression works by matching droplet size to particulate size so that dust is captured in the air rather than merely wetted after it settles. Cannons are positioned against prevailing wind and the active work front, with boundary monitoring confirming performance against agreed thresholds. Across a 120-metre chimney demolition beside a live switchyard, this regime recorded no boundary exceedance in eight months.
- Throw distance
- Up to 80 m
- Droplet size
- 50 – 200 micron atomisation
- Coverage
- Up to 5,600 m² per unit oscillating
- Water efficiency
- Substantially below conventional spraying
- Monitoring
- Continuous boundary particulate measurement

07 / 08Heavy Transport & SPMT
Self-propelled modular transport for loads that no crane configuration can reach.
When a load is too heavy, too large or too awkwardly positioned for craneage, it gets moved rather than lifted. SPMT modules, hydraulic skidding systems and climbing jacks extend what is achievable where radius, headroom or ground conditions rule conventional lifting out. On an automotive relocation, a 320-tonne indivisible press bed was skidded across a load-spread raft to a hardstand from which it could finally be lifted.
- SPMT axle capacity
- Up to 48 t per axle line
- Skidding capacity
- Up to 600 t per system
- Jacking
- Synchronised climbing and strand jacks
- Route engineering
- Survey, permits and escort coordination
- Ground verification
- Load spread designed to actual slab construction

08 / 08
Machines are only as safe as their maintenance state, their operator and the plan they are working to. All three are verified before deployment.
Pre-deployment inspection
Every unit inspected against a documented checklist before mobilisation, with defects closed rather than noted.
Operator competence verified
Machine-specific competence assessed and currency tracked. High-reach hours are evidenced, not claimed.
Load-moment monitoring
Demolition machines are fitted with reach-envelope and load-moment limiting appropriate to the configuration in use.
Attachment certification
Shears, pulverisers, grabs and breakers carry current certification and are matched to carrier capacity by calculation.
Ground bearing verified
Standing platforms designed against measured ground or slab construction — confirmed by trial pit or core where records are absent.
Rigging gear logged
Every item of lifting gear is certified, inspected and logged before it goes to the hook, with a discard regime by condition.
Environmental fit
Emissions, noise output and dust generation are inputs to plant selection, particularly on boundary-sensitive sites.
Maintenance in-programme
Servicing is scheduled into the programme rather than deferred, because a machine down mid-sequence is a safety issue before it is a delay.
