Method

Nothing advances until the evidence the next stage depends on actually exists. It slows the first week and saves the last three months — which is a trade every experienced asset owner recognises.

How we work

Each stage has a defined output and a hold point. Nothing advances until the evidence the next stage depends on actually exists.

Stage 01

Site Survey & Asset Assessment

A full physical survey of the structure, the process and the environment around them. We record actual condition rather than designed condition — corrosion, undocumented modification, residual contents, contaminated ground — and reconcile it against the client's drawing set, which on legacy plant is very often out of date.

Stage outputs

  • Condition and dimensional survey
  • Hazard and inventory register
  • Recovery valuation
  • Access and constraint mapping
Site Survey & Asset Assessment
01
Stage by stage

Each stage produces defined outputs. Those outputs are the hold-point evidence — the reason the next stage is permitted to begin.

01

Site Survey & Asset Assessment

A full physical survey of the structure, the process and the environment around them. We record actual condition rather than designed condition — corrosion, undocumented modification, residual contents, contaminated ground — and reconcile it against the client's drawing set, which on legacy plant is very often out of date.

Hold-point evidence

  • Condition and dimensional survey
  • Hazard and inventory register
  • Recovery valuation
  • Access and constraint mapping
02

Engineering & Method Development

The dismantling sequence is engineered as the reverse of construction. Load paths are traced at every stage, points of instability identified, temporary works designed, and each lift assigned a weight, centre of gravity and rigging arrangement. Nothing proceeds on assumption.

Hold-point evidence

  • Sequenced method statement
  • Temporary works design
  • Categorised lift plans
  • Programme and resource model
03

Risk Assessment & Permit Structure

Facilitated HAZID with the client's operations and HSE teams produces a risk register that carries directly into execution documentation. The permit structure, isolation boundaries and hold points are agreed and physically marked before anyone mobilises.

Hold-point evidence

  • Risk register and HAZID record
  • Permit and isolation structure
  • Hold-point schedule
  • Emergency response plan
04

Isolation, Cleaning & Preparation

Energy isolation, draining, purging, chemical cleaning and gas-freeing, each independently verified and certificated. Hazardous materials are removed under licensed specialist scope with clearance certification issued before general work resumes in that area.

Hold-point evidence

  • Isolation certificates
  • Gas-free certification
  • Hazardous clearance certificates
  • Verified work-front release
05

Controlled Execution

Dismantling proceeds to the engineered sequence with continuous supervision, dust and vibration monitoring, and defined stop criteria. Sequence changes are re-engineered and re-briefed before they are executed — never adopted on the work front.

Hold-point evidence

  • Daily execution and permit records
  • Monitoring data against thresholds
  • Progress against sequence
  • Change control record
06

Recovery, Segregation & Dispatch

Material is separated at source into reuse, recycling and disposal streams, graded, consolidated and dispatched to verified licensed outlets. Every load is weighed, ticketed and reconciled against the recovery statement.

Hold-point evidence

  • Weighbridge tickets and transfer notes
  • Grade and tonnage reconciliation
  • Licensed outlet verification
  • Recovery statement
07

Clearance, Survey & Handover

Foundation removal to the agreed depth, backfill to specification, levelling and final survey — followed by submission of the indexed close-out dossier. The site is handed over documented, certified and inspectable.

Hold-point evidence

  • Final survey and levels
  • Remediation validation results
  • Indexed close-out dossier
  • Formal handover certificate

Why hold points

A phase advances without the certificate the next phase depends on. Nobody notices for weeks. Then the whole sequence has to be reworked or re-verified — and by then the people who knew what happened have demobilised.

Defined in advance

The hold-point register is agreed before mobilisation, so no one is negotiating what counts as evidence mid-programme.

Physically verified

Certificates exist at the work front, not in a file somewhere. Supervisors check the document, not the assurance.

Client-visible

Your team sees the same register we do. Progress against hold points is reported, not just progress against tonnage.

Non-negotiable

Programme pressure does not release a hold point. That rule is what makes the other three worth anything.

Start at stage one

Every programme begins with a survey.

Before method, before price, before programme. Tell us what needs to come down and we will start where the work actually starts.
